My interests include classical American philosophy and Existentialism, especially within the context of philosophy's relationship to dimensions of culture. I am currently thinking and writing about the historical and contemporary experience of aging, which, particularly in Western culture, has been funded neither by a progression of Existential injunctions to do nor by Deweyian visions of experiential growth, but by, rather, metaphors of ontological erosion.
